About

Our mission

Our mission is for our community, nation, and world to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

What we do

We are a Christian church supporting local, state, national, and international missions and aiming to be an outreaching arm to our community.

What we believe

As a Southern Baptist Church, we believe the Bible is all true and has full authority over the life of each believer as well as the life of our church. We believe that the great gospel of Jesus Christ allows us to firmly stand on truth and love people.

Our History

First Baptist Church of Baileyton was organized November 1902 and dedicated May 29, 1904. As our church grew throughout the 20th century, our congregation recognized the need to expand. Today, the original chapel remains attached to the building, but a new, larger chapel is used for services.

Our Leadership

We are blessed to have such faithful servants to lead our church. God has sovereignly appointed them to serve Him for such a time as this.

Ministry Groups

Connect with others and your purpose through our ministry opportunities.

Burning Hearts

Once a month, our Burning Hearts ministry meets to visit, write letters of encouragement to shut ins and individuals that are incarcerated, send cards for many different occasions, pack outreach materials like shoeboxes, and have a time of prayer.

Women’s Prayer Group

Our women are invited to pray together every Sunday evening.

A Servant’s Heart Committee

This committee coordinates meals when needed. We provide them during a time of loss, during sickness, after the birth of a child.

Nehemiah 4:9 Ministry

“Nevertheless, we made our prayer unto our God, and set

a watch against them day and night, because of them.”

Woman’s Missionary Union

The Woman's Missionary Union (WMU) has worked alongside Southern Baptist Churches since 1888 in education, serving, giving, and promoting missions for all age groups in the church.“I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.”- I Cor 22b
